River Piedra

A few hours ago I said this word to the special guy who made my days clear,
bright and complicated...
"Thank You".
That means saying the most sincere thank you ever.
Lol. beacause of him I was inspired.
Right now I am inspired by my dream. :)

I wrote this note because I remember the book of Paulo Coelho's
By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept. My beloved story of love.
Our short story might not came out to be like the best love story of that book
but I grateful that he finally came into my life unexpectedly and so damn fast.

I may trigger the wars :) but saying that after those arguments have ended
that the love decreases up to some point.
What? If you truly love a person love wont decrease because
true love is only meant to increase as days goes by. One point.

Then, there are doubts. Doubts came because of the feeling of unimportance.
I dont want to elaborate it. I think I deserve a man who is capable of handling
a relationship without a single doubt of how important am I to him. Second point

I must admit that I have been waiting for this that is why I said "Thank you".
He let me go. I had a glimpse of my fate before and I am rejecting that part before
when I met him, but now I guess it is hard to break fate when it means
that it is your only one way to happiness. :)

I still don’t know if we are really meant to be friends or if he is really the one?
But I am hoping that the next time I would go into a relationship
it is not just with a man who passed by "dumaan lng" in my life but
a man who intended to last forever, without him having a decreased love
after every arguments but a love that is more than a glass can sustain.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

"I was born under unusual circumstances"
-Benjamin Button

And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a time traveler’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he loses and finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

The film has received genesrally positive reviews. As of January 24, 2009, the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 72% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based on 169 reviews, with 77% of selected "Top Critics" gave the film positive reviews. According to Metacritic, the film received an average score of 70 based on 36 reviews. Yahoo! Movies reported the film received a B+ average score from critical consensus.

Todd McCarthy of Variety gave the film a positive review, calling it a "richly satisfying serving of deep-dish Hollywood storytelling." Peter Howell of The Toronto Star says: "It's been said that the unexamined life is not worth living. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button suggests an addendum: a life lived backwards can be far more enriching..." and describes the film as "a magical and moving account of a man living his life resoundingly in reverse" and "moviemaking at its best." Kirk Honeycutt of The Hollywood Reporter felt the film was "superbly made and winningly acted by Brad Pitt in his most impressive outing to date." Honeycutt praised Fincher's directing of the film and noted that the "cinematography wonderfully marries a palette of subdued earthern colors with the necessary CGI and other visual effects that place one in a magical past." Honeycutt states the bottom line about Benjamin Button is that it is "an intimate epic about love and loss that is pure cinema."

Joe Morgenstern of the The Wall Street Journal gave the film a rave and states "Benjamin Button is all of a visionary piece, and it's a soul-filling vision." Rex Reed of The New York Observer describes "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a monumental achievement—not only one of the best films of the year, but one of the greatest films ever made", and further states that it is "brilliantly directed and acted, sumptuously photographed and endlessly fascinating."

my rate: 10/10 perfect score

I have watched this movie last Jan. 31, 2009. I didn't know that the movie has a deep and inspiring theme. Ofcourse, like those girls that was so fanatic and mesmerized by Brad Pitt's charms, i also intended to watch this movie. After reading the summary of the movie, I said to myself.. "wow". Then at that moment, I watched the movie. It was so inspiring fiction made by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the 1920's. It is my pleasure to rate this movie, in my opinion, as a perfect score of 10/10. It was so inspiring, althought the part in the movie wherein Benjamin left his family to travel on his own and to leave his family in the arms of the other man because he wanted to reserve a better future with his daughter in the arms of the most appropriate man to do the job, that he thought in the end he would eventually be grown as a child and die. I cried in the end of the story. I just can't help it specially the moment wherein Daisy accompanied Benjamin untill the end. OMG,, huhuhu.. It is the best movie by far. Enjoy the movie!

tempting

Oh crap

Heya, my new blog post is about temptation

Well, last Saturday we went to this famous university in Katipunan and whaalaala there are so many handsome, cutie guys there. Whew! Next to that, after a few hours, the official time was 10pm; my high school tropapeepz and I (of course) went to Timog, Q.C for our very first gimik together. Actually that was my super postponed birthday celebration. We, party people (that’s what we called our tropa for that party churva) went to Dampa and drink some beer, then around 12am we went straight ahead to White Ave. whew! You guys know what’s next, of course dancing and drinking, others smoke but not me. I arrived safe and sound (why is that? just joking people) in my apartment around 4:35 am. In the end, it was a hell super party people. I almost went home super exhausted. That’s temptation number one because once you have start partying it goes with your nerves, it’s like craving for more and more, meaning until next Saturday for party number two but this time with another set of friends. I just remember that today my classmate invited me to go partying with them, what? Haha. Oh gosh, this is temptation right?

The next temptation, (haha , sorry for the word) is about whew guys!, I mean a guy okay? Only one, oh no, there are two handsome sacristan in my university who were present in our foundation day ceremony today. I remember the famous book of Paulo Coelho. That book is about a guy who was about to become a priest that in the end he didn’t become one. He later chose his beloved girl since childhood, who was patiently waiting in the River Piedra. Actually the girl admitted to herself that there was no chance for both of them that she late turned to the River Piedra, sat down and wept. But I believed that her soul is waiting for that guy. God granted freedom and love for these lovers because in the end the guy appeared in that River Piedra and confessed his love for her. Now, why did I discuss the novel? A big NO if I’m thinking of having the same story. No. haha. They were just cute guys. That’s all. How sad for those ladies falling in love with a servant of God, like sacristan and worst even priest. They should move on and accept God’s decision that these people whom they loved most belonged to God.

start of the year

Start of the year

Be healthy…

This year starts with my mom having Measles and flu (but she’s ok now), my dad have skin allergy (yucky), my Auntie undergo a surgery (she’s in the recovery stage). This wow super negative right? But I think I’m strong enough to handle this negative vibes. Btw, I advice my fellow bloggers and visitors to stay healthy, eat healthy and sleep on time. Always have your sunblock protection, use lotion and watch this documentary “The Inconvenient Truth.” No more sickness, stay healthy. Eat lots of fruits.

Stay connected…

This coming Saturday is the exciting one. He he. My High school friends and I will be having our very first gimik together. I so excited, haha! Dance, dance and a few drinks somewhere in Timog.

and

Before it was Friendster, now it is Facebook. Welcome to the Facebookers society. Create your account now.

Read books…

Suddenly the world of teens turned into a book lover, guess what? It’s for Twilight books only. Haha. Oldies might saw you passing by carrying one of those Twilight books. You’ll create an impression of a studious kid, Haha. You fooled them. I remember that day when I was about to go back to Manila. I saw my dad when I bought some snacks in this ministore. One of his ka-troopa saw me and said, “wow, ang kapal naman ng libro mo”. He taught that the Breaking Dawn book is my political science churva academic book. Haha. After reading those Twilight books, I advice to my fellow teenagers (kapal noh, im a young adult already, hehe) to continue reading good books. “Nasimulan nyo na rin, simulan nyo na

New Year's Resolution

New Year’s resolution

Heya, nice to be back here in my beloved blogging world

2008 had been a phenomenon year for me for I have learned so many things about life, friendship, politics and interpersonal relation with others, social aspect that needs to be mended. According to my zodiac sign, Rabbit, year 2009 is not that welcoming for me. I must confess that I am a bit worried about it for I expect this year to be the same or surpass last year. But I now leave it up to God’s mercy.

As my topic for this post, New Year’s resolution, I have this certain list in my mind. Here it is:

1. My last year in college. Whew! I’ve been dying to graduate soon. It would be the start of another chapter of my life. My questions would be answered either I might be closer to my ultimate dream or to be struggling for academic aspect rather than experiencing adventure and growth miles away from here. I am undecided. Let the time answer the question not to be my burden anymore. I leave it up to God now.

2. My bookaholic attitude. Another source of my happiness is my books. The total of my current books are more than 150. I ought to have atleast 500 books as my over all collection, that is equivalent to 25% of Jose Rizal’s books. Maybe more than 500 because I would like to have a library in my dream house. Hehe. Dream.

3. My relationship with my family, relatives and friends must grow into a full blown pure love that is to improve my relationship with them, to love them more and care for them as much as I care for myself.

4. Lastly, to improve myself. To strengthen the light within me. (thanks to Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho, read it to understand the meaning of “light”)

Thanks for reading this. What is your new year’s resolution?

Better have one and achieve it. God bless!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Rabbit Zodiac

Year of the Rabbit

Rabbit Personality

People born in the year of the rabbit often make ideal diplomats or politicians. Rabbit person has grace, culture and beautiful manners. Although rabbit people get on well with everyone, at heart they are basically reserved creatures, and are only really happy when they are engrossed in some sort of scholarly or intellectual activity. They are just too sensitive to the world around them. They are just not able to thrive in a competitive or aggressive environment, and it makes them anxious if someone forces them to take risks. Their inner world is simply too delicate for unsettled or unpredictable situations, and they tend to create a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere on a hunch. This character trait makes them very hospitable and attentive people, who take care of those around. The average rabbit person emphasizes the importance of small details. They pay attention to everything from colour, design and furniture to food and conversation. And only when they are sure that everything has been arranged as they wished, these people can relax and have fun. Person born in the year of rabbit often leads a conservative lifestyle, where one of the most important things is their security. This quality has a negative side also. Opting for safety over risk they may miss good opportunities. This does not imply that these people are frivolous or irresponsible, for when they truly believe in some thing they are serious, perseverant and capable.

Calm as they are, it is not easy to provoke rabbit people. They are sentimental and compassionate. Yes, and they cry easily too. They can be moved by personal problems you share with them. Therefore, if you work as a salesman for a living, you will have much better luck with rabbit people - Nine out of Ten Rabbit people will definitely buy your products!
Rabbit Love Affairs

People born in this year can be great partners in relationships. Romantic and sweet, faithful too, rabbit people never lack of suitors. They are in extreme need of trust, security and tenderness in a relationship and are really happy when they manage to create an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. When the rabbit person does the planning, he/she is happy calling the shots and will expect his beloved automatically be on the same wavelength. In case the partner's behaviour becomes erratic or hurtful he/she withdraws into your shell. Sometimes this person really believes that everything is fine and these relationships are strong and solid, but careless remark or impudent behaviour can suddenly place serious doubts in his/her mind. It is important to solve such problems appropriately. Partners may discuss these fears and express their points of view openly to avoid repetition of these problems in the future. Otherwise these relationships won't last too long.

In spite of his/her devotion to the loved one, it is important to remember that the rabbit person wants to have a secret side to his/her life, too. It is natural for him/her to demand solitude in order to get in touch with his/her inner self.

Sometimes it takes time for a rabbit person to find a partner, a real soul-mate, and he/she may seem to be fickle and insecure along the way, but when he/she has found that person his/her attachment is boundless.
Rabbit Career

Call them cautious or call them timid, rabbit people will undertake nothing before they have weighed the pros and cons from every angle. And that is probably why rabbit people are doing their work so well. They are balanced in outlook and cautious in approach, and like to be informed of all the facts before making a judgment. They usually can not bear the cut and thrust of business life preferring work that is more methodical and reliable. At times a rabbit person is a bit of a plotter and tends to be too conservative, but he/she is gifted with a positive yet practical outlook that few can fault. He/she has a talent to avoid the trouble and identify opportunity. But it is important to remember that his/her creative talents will come to the fore when he/she is allowed to work at your own pace. As a rule, colleagues value these people's tact and modesty and realize the fact that rabbit people are unlikely to step over others to achieve their goals.
